Anaerobic Threshold Training – By gravityfighter
This works great for burning fat & training your heart to recover faster…for those heavy compound moves.
220 minus age times .65 (lower threshold) mines 115
220 minus age times .85 (upper threshold) mines 150
With your heart rate monitor on, on a treadmill, once you hit your lower threshold, raise heartrate to upper threshold (with either speed or incline) then back down to lower threshold, then back to upper, plus 5, then back down to lower, then plus 10, back down, plus15,etc. usually I quit at plus 20, been to plus 30 (puke stage for me)…….really works and does’nt take too long, good luck!
Changes To The Heart Muscle By – purplehaze
The changes to heart muscle caused by anabolic steroids are attributed to their anabolic properties in muscle tissue. Left ventricular hypertrophy is characterized by thickening of the left ventricular wall secondary to cardiac fiber enlargement. Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is normally caused by a chronic increase in systemic blood pressure. It may also be seen with sudden or rapid weight gain. The thickening of the ventricular wall due to increased after-load from elevated vascular resistance can be viewed as adaptive protection up to a point. Beyond minor wall thickening, pathological LVH is a strong predictor of serious cardiovascular risk.
Carbs Innocent Until Proven Guilty – By Mojo Rising
“All carbs make you fat!” That’s the slander. I’m sure you’ve also heard “There’s no such thing as an essential carbohydrate.” More half-truths and according to many – myself included – such statements are akin to dietary treason. Make no mistake, the anti-carb crusade remains in full swing and I’m here to re-assure you that carbohydrates are indeed essential in both building mass and losing body fat. Let’s take a closer look at the evidence and clarify what you really need to know about carbohydrates.

Ephedra vs. RX Meds – By Mr Pickels
Introduction
Obesity in the United States is a problem of epic proportions. The burden obesity puts on the health care system costs taxpayers $78.5 billion annually and employers another $12 billion (Dixon, 2003). Many citizens will resort to over-the-counter (OTC) supplements or prescription weight loss pills to shed the fat. The most popular OTC fat loss pills are ones containing ephedra. Ephedra has received negative media coverage recently due to the deaths of professional athletes Korey Stringer and Steve Belcher. Both men died in training camps and had bottles of supplements containing the naturally occurring substance ephedra in their lockers. These circumstances have caused the U.S. Congress to review the pros and cons of ephedra use. If Congress concludes that ephedra poses an unnecessary risk to the population, then the sale and use of ephedra will become illegal. The supplements are currently available to anyone who wishes to purchase them. Ephedra is naturally occurring and can be derived from the Ma Haung plant (Dulloo, 2002). The main use for the substance is as a fat loss agent alone or when combined with aspirin and caffeine.
Site Injection/Enhancement – By Willk
I just wanted to say a little bit about site injections. Seems a lot of body builders are using this technique in hopes of bringing up weaker body parts, or to swell the show off muscles like the bi’s.
Well, I’m here to tell you that site injecting in hopes for increased size in that muscle maybe pointless unless you are using ester free gear.
The temporary swelling that occurs from drugs like sustanon are not going to result in permanent size.
SynthePURE Recipes – By Big A
Here’s my favourite SynthePURE recipes. And I know they are good because a friend of mine that owns a club, started selling them in the club in nice cocktail glasses and they sell like hotcakes – ravers seem to like them LOL
All these are off season obviously. For comp use just mix it with water and nothing else. It disolves instantly in water.
Also, anyone else that experiments with SynthePURE, feel free to post your recipes, as I love trying new things.

Water Loss W/No Drugs – By gnpower
I do my water loss w/o drugs. The principle is very simple:
The body functions in feedback loops, including water homeostasis, that work like the thermostats and the AC (or heater) in your house, car, etc.
If you set the AC to 70 (its setpoint), the temp. much reach some threshold (say 72) before it kicks in. It will cool until it reaches some value below its setpoint, say 68. There is overshoot in the system. There must be some off-set or error to turn the AC on (temp reaches 72) and it will cool to provide somewhat of a temperature buffer (68? = 2? below the setpoint of 70?).
Here Are Reference Ranges For Blood Work – By drgoodbody
Well folks, I just got my bloodwork done and a battery of other tests and since I now have my results, I thought I’d post the reference ranges for all those people who wonder what “normal” is. I won’t bore you with my test results, I’m doing great.
Now on with the Referance ranges – BTW, these are from Quest Diagnostics (biggest lab network in the US):
HPTA Article – By sanjac
Interactions of the Hypothalamus, Pituitary, and Testes (HPTA)
by Sanjac
During a cycle of AAS, natural production of testosterone decreases, often times to zero. In many cases, the diminished natural testosterone production causes a cessation of sperm production (spermatogenesis), and the male becomes sterile. After the cycle, the body’s ability to make testosterone may take months to start again. Aside from the undesirable sterility and loss of strength, other hormone levels get out of whack because of the low testosterone, and cause other problems such as increased body fat and depression. The body produces many hormones, and the levels of most hormones are interrelated. This article will examine the factors involved in regulating the production of certain hormones in the body, particularly by the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Testicular Axis. As always, the author does not condone the use of steroids by persons not under the care and guidance of a qualified physician.
